UCL 2nd Round, Who goes, Who Proceeds?
The 2nd leg of the UCL is here and only 4 teams can make it to the next round.
Who will drop off and who will make it to the next round?
Let’s take a look at how they fair against each other.
Chelsea VS Real Madrid
A place in the Champions League semis will be at stake when Chelsea and Real Madrid face each other at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening. Los Blancos aim to defend their two-goal lead in London, and they are likely to adopt a cautious approach in the return leg.
The Blues, on the other hand, have no other option but to go all guns blazing at Real Madrid. Frank Lampard’s men failed to impress in a 2-1 loss to Brighton, and seeing that Los Blancos will have several opportunities to score on the break, an away win should be considered.
Our Prediction, Real Madrid to win.
Napoli VS Milan
The ground at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona will shake when Napoli and Milan go head to head in the Champions League semis, return leg on Tuesday. The Neapolitans aims to overcome a one-goal deficit in front of home fans, and the good news for Luciano Spalletti is that key attacker Victor Osimhen has overcome his injury.
The Rossoneri, on the other hand, are likely to adopt a defense-minded approach in the decider. Both Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao return to the starting XI after the duo was rested in a 1-1 draw with Bologna, while there are no fresh injury worries in the visiting team.
Our Prediction, Napoli to win
Bayern Munich VS Man City
All eyes will be on Allianz Arena when Bayern Munich and Manchester City face each other in the Champions League quarter-finals, second leg. The Bavarians need a big win in the return leg as they need to overcome a three-goal deficit, and they are likely to go all-out attack in the reverse fixture. Bayern Munich, though, failed to impress in a 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim at the weekend, which is probably the main reason why a home win should not be considered.
The Citizens, on the other hand, have found their rhythm in April, with the team scoring goals for fun. Since Pep Guardiola’s troops will have several opportunities to score on the break, we believe that there is a big value in betting on over 2.5 goals.
Our prediction, Over 2.5 goals.
Inter VS Benfica
Inter will be looking to defend their two-goal lead in the tie with Benfica when the two sides face each other at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday evening. The Nerazzurri proved their worth in the first leg, and, as a result, they are with one foot in the Champions League semis. Inter failed to turn their dominance into goals in a shocking 1-0 loss to Monza at the weekend, but they are still seen as favorites to beat Benfica in front of home fans.
Meanwhile, the Eagles aim to recover from a surprising 1-0 loss to Chaves, but beating Inter in Milano is easier said than done. A close encounter is on the horizon, and, taking everything into account, we believe that there is a big value in betting on a draw.
Our Prediction, Draw.
